HUNTING AT BRADFORD CAMPS
BEAR HUNTING
MOOSE HUNTING
GROUSE HUNTING
Hunting at Bradford Camps is about doing it the way it’s been done in the North Maine Woods for generations. Bear, moose, and grouse all live here for the same reason people come here to hunt them: deep woods, low pressure, and a landscape that still works on its own terms.
Bear hunting means long sits, sharp eyes, and understanding the wind. Moose hunting is slower and heavier, built around patience, calling, and covering serious ground. Grouse hunting is straightforward and honest. Walking old roads, listening for wings, and taking shots that come fast and disappear faster.
Fun fact: Maine is the only state in the lower 48 with a regulated spring bear hunt, and the North Maine Woods consistently produces some of the largest black bears in the Northeast. There’s nothing flashy about it. It’s just good country, managed right, and hunted with respect.
