BEAR HUNTING

NORTHERN MAINE BEAR HUNT

We offer three weeks of Maine black bear hunts starting the last Sunday in August in accordance with the IFW yearly calendar. Our hunts begin on a Sunday and end the following Saturday. We have bear bait hunting rights to over 100,000 acres and we limit the number of hunters to 16 each week.

The All INCLUSIVE PRICE includes access to over 50 stands near baiting stations that have been monitored and supplied by us for months, a well trained guide, lodging, and meals  (see pricelist)

Key features of our Maine Bear Hunt:

We limit the number of bear hunters to sixteen during each week so there are always extra stands for hunters.

  • We continue baiting all active stands throughout the season.

  • There are no more than four hunters per Maine bear guide

  • Your stand location is lottery drawn at camp

  • The  same person baits all of the sites throughout the season. Thus there are not multiple scents at the site to scare off the bear

  • Most of the  bear stands are high quality manufactured tree stands with shooting  rails.  They are comfortable and blend into their surroundings well.

  • As we all know, there are no guarantees for a trophy black bear. But  we guarantee that you will have an active stand that is being hit a minimum of every other day. We want you to have an awesome successful hunt! And all of us at Bradford Camps will make every effort to help you achieve it!

  • Bears are tagged at Bradford Camps

  • Guides provide all transportation and processing (does not include tanning or mounting)

  • NOTE: We are no longer able to supply Hunting Licenses. Please do so online prior to arrival.  https://www.maine.gov/ifw/hunting-trapping/hunting/licenses-permits.html
